The UPMC Prehospital Care Program offers integrated protocols, policies, and procedures to public safety organizations who respond to medical emergencies.

The program provides medical command for over 30 advanced life support (ALS) services, co-authors and oversees the development of medical protocols, offers continuing education to all EMS providers, provides medical coverage for community events, and institutes quality improvement measures to continually improve patient care.
